My response to a "how are you doing" inquiry with a co-worker that she ecouraged me to post:

"Doing my best Indiana Jones imitation: Trying to run the gauntlet of budget cuts, while not getting squashed by the giant boulder of politics, pierced by the darts of public backlash, and trying to stay one step ahead of the collapsing floor that is my resource pool."

Not a complaint; just a narration of the action adventure that is involved with maintaining the community safety net :-)
